This is for the creative writing classes at Eastview High School.
I loved going to twitter and tumblr without fear of being kicked off. again. lol. i also enjoyed catfish a bit :)
I enjoyed the Photoshop assignments and watching the movie Catfish. I wouldn't really improve much of this class.
Not to watch catfish ever again
oh but i did not enjoy that writing assignment with the kids story?
I really loved watching Catfish.I also loved doing stuff with Twitter and Photoshop.I honestly wouldn't change anything about the class. I thought it was a lot of fun.
This was a fun class, i enjoyed the laid back envirnment since we did not have many crucial deadlines. The photoshop part was fun, as well as watching the movie was fun.Cool class.
This was a pretty fun, laid back class. I enjoyed learning how to use photoshop and watching the movies we did.
I think the best part of the class was when we worked in a group to write the big story, it was fun being able to have everyone work on it at the same time. What should be improved is that you shouldnt have the photoshop project in there because most people just messed around on it.
i liked this class >> my favorite assignment was the photoshop quote thing ~ i thought that was really fun xD >> i actually really liked "Catfish" so that was good >> i dont really have anything to say about improvement ~ i thought it was a great class >> the Google Docs assignment was probably my least favorite but it wasnt that bad
I liked the photoshop assignment and the movie Catfish. I also liked learning about tracking changes in word because I didn't know about that before and I could use that in the future for peer edits. I didn't like the GoogleDocs very much because I got frustrated easily, but I am just the kind of person who likes to do projects individually.
What assignments did you enjoy most? The assignment that I enjoyed the most was watching Catfish, it was a lot better than I thought it would be. And I didnt mind doing the review paper on it because of how interesting it was. I also enjoyed learning how to create a webpage, you can do so much with it!What would you improve about the class?I wouldn't do the photoshop unit, I think thats a better lesson for broadcast classes rather than this class.
I liked doing web development and the movie Catfish. Google docs sucks.
sick class yo!
I really enjoyed this class! Everything was easy to do,and follow along with. I found this class to be really meaningful and well taught. Everything that we learned was basically something we will use in our lives one way or another! I'd have to say my favorite project was probably the photoshop project. It was alot of fun, learning how to edit pictures in so many different ways. Lastly, I just thought this class was easy in general, as long as you used your class time wisely, it was pretty easy to finsish assignments I liked that.
my favorite assignments of this class was to create a website and doing the photoshop work. it was different than anything i've done before, so i really liked doing that. if i had to choose something to improve, i would choose to improve the fact that we would get more work time to do things. i was stressed a couple of times during projects because i felt not enough work time was given, but i do understand that there's only so much time in each quarter.
Learning about photoshop and dreamweaver was the most legit part of the class.I think we should have watched way more movies though. catfish was a good choice even though it was kind of a little bit lame. Whatever. Good class though krebbs is a great teacher.
I really enjoyed learning how to use Photoshop. It was interesting and cool to see how many different effects you can do on text and pictures. It is something that I can apply in everyday-life and can be very useful. I also enjoyed learning how to make a webpage. I always thought it would be very difficult but learning how to use Adobe Dreamweaver and html made it pretty easy. There is not much that I would improve about Writing for the 21st Century. The only thing is maybe cutting out the group writing project. It was confusing and the site was difficult to use when we all were accessing it at the same time. Overall, it was a great class because it covered a lot of topics quickly so we were able to learn about many different technologies.
I enjoyed the Photoshop projects, the movies that we watched and also the fun writing assinments like the group story. :)
Pros: Learning how to make a webpage-Photophop assignment-Incorporating Blogger-Freedom to choose a topic rather than the teacher choosing. -writing short storyCons:-Catfish-Jumping around on web 2.0 sites and not focusing on one at a time. -twitter-Freewriting
I really enjoyed the Photoshop assignment and watching the movie Julie & Julia. :) i had a good time in this class and i dont think anything needs to be improved.
I really liked the photoshop assignment and the paper we did as a group. I also liked doing track changes because I could use that in the future. I didn't like google docs very much because it was really confusing and things would just delete. Loved the class!
i thought that this class was very educational and i thought that it was alot of fun. Mr. Krebs is a really good teacher and i enjoyed this class.
i liked the class. it was a very good class for me. i did not feel like i knew much befor i took the class, as far as computers go. i now understand and can use photoshop. i also feel like i will use photoshop someday so i am very happy that i took this class. i would have to say that the class enviorment is very relaxing at times and we have a good teacher.so over all this class was definitely a plus to msy senior yeah here at eastview.
I enjoyed the course. It was actually very insightful, and including the technology that'll become commonplace in the future and how to use it was beneficial. Stoked on writing for the 21st century, catfish, and photoshop. I really liked learning how to build a website as well.
The assignment I enjoyed the most was watching catfish and learning how to make a webpage. I would spend more time on the webpage unit as a improvement.
I though this class was pretty useful, I liked learning a little bit about the Adobe Master Collection and about LinkedIn. This was very relaxed and laid back which is a nice change of pace. I would say this is a relevant class to the new way of business and professional writing; more relevant than say a british lit class.. Mostly because we use this information on a day to day basis. We need to know how much information we should put out there. Also, we should learn the differences between professional social media and Facebook. Some of this information was review, but I learned new information, too. For example, on blogging, never mention work unless you're careful because it easily gets you into trouble. Overall this class was pretty productive for me.
I liked learning about different websites and apps like Delicious and LinkedIn since I'd seen them but I didn't know what the were before. I also really enjoyed Catfish and working in Photoshop. I would definitely change the Google Docs assignment however. I thought that was really frustrating for everyone since that's now how Google Docs is meant to be used. Maybe if it was just with one partner it would be better. Also I think the grading needed to be a little more clear for assignments. I could never tell if I was doing the assignment correctly since there was no rubric.
My favorite thing we did this quarter was photoshop and watching Catfish. I really liked using photoshop because I never new how to use it. It was interesting to see how things can change just by a click of the mouse. It makes sense how advertisments do it now. I also really liked watching the movie Catfish. I didn't think it was going to be as good as it was. Although this was a writing class, I learned a lot more about how to use the computer and what websites are out there. One thing I don't think we need to do it write the web 2.0. I personally didn't find it that interesting. All I did was made a cartoon. Overall it was an intersting class.
I enjoyed the web design part of the class the most I feel it will help us a lot in the future
I enjoyed learning how to use dreamweaver and how to start our own blogs and stuff. It was good to get familiar with different sites.!
a chill class
i liked how we learned the different types of online ways to get contact to other people. one thing i did not like was that we had a new project due every week. the catfish movie was very good. i liked it.
I really enjoyed watching the movies that connected to this class, Julia and juliet and Catfish. I also like the easy going pace to all the assignments.
I liked this class because it was a lot different then any other class I have taken here at Eastview. I also really enjoyed learning how to do new things on word and google docs. Photoshop was alot of fun too and I liked that we got to watch some movies!
love this class, wish I could take it again. Kinda want to watch Catfish again.
i liked photoshop the most. but the movies were good too. there is nothing to inprove on
I really enjoyed learning photoshop in this class. It was interesting to perform different affects on the pictures and I thought that it was very useful to learn that type of technology. I didn't like using Google Docs, its supposed to be just like Word, but it didnt't seem like it. There should be a way that everyone can edit it at the same time. Overall, this was a good class and I learned a lot.
I enjoyed learning about photoshop and google docs, learning about these programs will be helpful in the future. My favorite about this whole class was watching Catfish, and the final assignment. I loved the movie! I find this class to be really helpful.
I liked when we got to design our own website. I thought it was cool to edit everything in HTML and link everything to our other pages. I think that it was also cool to have these blogs and use them periodically throughout the course of the class. I may just use mine in the future!!

Pro: this class was consistantly interesting, and I learned about a few random sites that I actually use now.Con: I photoshop all the time, so the two days that you were just explaining what buttons did what was... the worst.
I personally liked the incorporation of a picture into writing. It was a challenge for me to do but I finished feeling satisfied in my work and i think that helped me greatly. Overall I enjoyed this class because i love technology and how it is being incorporated into our every-day lives.
i think this class was really helpfull and everything we learned will help us in the future.i really liked when we used photoshop to create our own portrait.
I liked using PhotoShop and the Making a Website project. What I didn't like is your love 'real movies' like Catfish rather than Hollwood masterpieces like The Social Network, but eh it was a nice class
I enjoyed learning how to make a webpage with Adobe Dreamweaver, as well as using Photoshop. The assignment that went along with the movie Catfish was fun because it makes you think about how social networking has drastically changed over the years. There is nothing that would need improvement in this class because everything that we learned is relevant.
I think that in my life this has been the most fun class that you can get a credit in english. I found that my favorite part of this class was making web pages in web 2.0. Also i feel that as maube a career or just for fun that i could work as a graphic desiger. Photoshop really helped me learn the basics and now i want to be able to go farther.I think thus least thing i enjoyed might be the social networking. But it is becoming what our lives are surrounding us more and more. I never will probubly get a Facebook page but i feel it is important to learn of the possiblites and the dangers of this rising phenomenon. Thanks again for teaching us this fun and very learning class.Taylor
I really did enjoy this class! My favorite projects were the photoshop writing and learning about websites. The collaborative project was tough because intertwining the individual pieces was tough. I think this class will be beneficial for me in the future as technology becomes and increasingly large part of our world. Web 2.0 was not super interesting to me, maybe incorporate more about facebook or something else. Overall a fun class, and I learned a lot!
I liked the fact that there was a various amount of freedoms that we all got to enjoy throughout the quarter. I feel like the class prepared me well for the future, and i especially got a kick out of being able to use a computer each day. The class was very time consuming always having something to do and an ample amount of time to do it.
My favorite assignment was making a picture in photoshop. I though it was really fun to play with Photoshop and see what all the features did. Also, I liked learning how all the big companies adjust images to make themselves and their employes look beter. If I had to improve the class, I would do two things. First, I would pick a different movie to watch for the end. Catfish was okay but it was nothing really cool or funny. Also, I would spend more time with Microsoft products, like Excel.
I liked this class a lot. It was cool having an english class that didn't have any homework. Favorite assignments that we did during class would be the photoshop projects and also the web design.
i loved the movies. it was chilled. and my favorite assinment was the photo shop it was fun. you should add a texting
Some definite golden point of this class must be from the photoshop, web design, and Catfish unit because I really enjoyed doing projects on topics I am interested in. I've learned that the web got many useful softwares to offer - I will definitely use these tools in the future! The only part I dislike was the google docs collaborate project because it was really difficult to get 4-5 people to work efficiently together. However, I did enjoy using Google Docs. I really enjoyed this class because I get to learn English, and at the same time incorperating technology along with the project. It's a pity that the school is cutting 21st Century out next year.
